RhoadsNRoses82
Anyone here ever get one of those alienrides fast chargers for their V11? I'm thinking to get one along with a J1772 to nema 5-15 adapter so i can charge the wheel fast at a chargepoint charging station. I just don't know which of the 3 fast chargers on alienrides to get for the V11. These are the 3 options https://alienrides.com/collections/parts/products/88-8v-adjustable-fast-charger https://alienrides.com/collections/parts/products/72v-max-adjustable-fast-charger https://alienrides.com/collections/parts/products/60v-67-2v-max-adjustable-fast-charger based on the pictures of the plug, it seems like the 72v version is the right one but i'm not sure. alcatraz
The V11 appears to be an 84v wheel and would then require the second link you posted. Double check the connector type and the max amps you are allowed to charge the wheel with, so you don't run into issues.
RhoadsNRoses82
yea that 2nd link has the plug that looks right. I've heard the V11 shouldn't be charged at more than 5 amps, but i guess i should find out from inmotion directly. It would suck if it's max 5amps. The charger it comes with is 2.5amps and that can charge it in about 6 hours, so even doubling that rate of charge is still quite a long time to spend at a charging station. alcatraz
Another thing I'd consider is how light, compact and efficient the charger is. That way it's portable and runs cool.
mhpr262
I have heard it can safely be charged at up to 6.5 Amps, but you would need two chargers in parallel for that. The GX12-3 plug of my V10F already gets noticeably warm when I use my 5A charger. One Polish guy used a 5A quick charger in parallel with the 2.5A original charger for 7.5A in total for his V11 and it worked, but he doesnt recommend it, or rather he said you do it totally at your own risk.
