New Ninebot L6 & L8 : the run away problem finally solved ?

Recommended Posts

Launched in a crowdfunding campaign in October 2021, and currently on the Chinese market, the last two models of "mini" will stop itself in the event of the user falling.

The "run away" problem was a big concern among users, myself I had this type of accident and loss of control where I had to run after my Mini to catch up with it.

Unfortunately, these models are intended for a young audience. Their technical sheets state a maximum speed of 7,4mph /  12kmh for the L6 and 8,6mph  / 14kmh for the L8. With respective ranges of 6,2mi/10km for the L6 and 7,4mi/12km for the L8.

The maximum weight supported (in theory) is 154LBS/70kg.

In terms of manufacturing and design, we are in the evolution of the "mini" s plus for the wheel and bodyframe part: a compact machine, more resistant to shocks, and certainly difficult to repair yourself.

Personally I would have liked this design on an adult model.

For children it's great. Prices (L6) $210, (L8) $250
