gon2fast
I installed aftermarket pedals on my Sherman. I love the pedals, but the spacers that were provided left gaps. This left my new peddles very noisy with the rattling. It seemed like no matter what I tried there was always a little gap when using the steel spacers. I was able to resolve the issue by using steel washers on one side and a rubber grommet on the other side. I got this variety pack at a local hardware store for a couple of dollars - View from the top of the pedal - View from the bottom of the pedal - I have been running this setup for the last 2 months without issue. I had a slight concern that the rubber could get damaged over time, but the rubber grommets seem to be holding up just fine with normal usage. BTW - if you are struggling to keep the Chicway pedals folded up a few layers of magnet tape will resolve the issue.
.....
Nice workaround! I found some nylon spacers laying around that I used on mine. Not near as big a gap as that, but since when does OCD care about how much?
