Swapping out small MCM pedals for larger ones

One of the advantages of starting out with a cheap EYU.CO wheel is that despite being cheap it has 200mm long split pedals. After taking an instant dislike to the short 170mm long pedals on the MCM I checked a few measurements and decided to swap.

Here's the before.

The EYU is going to a friend who has two young teenage boys, one of whom is severely autistic but has amazing balance. It'll be interesting to see how he gets on with the wheel.

He is really severe. Non communicative except for well rehearsed phrases and greatings but great at drawing in a weird way in that he will start at one side of a picture and finish it as he progresses to the other side. He also bites when he is upset.

It's very difficult at the moment to get odd parts but judging from my experience the central cut out and hinge fitting seem to be the same on most of the standard generic wheels. If you can find a cheap one that's failed and the pedals are longer they should fit.
