Gimlet Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 One of the advantages of starting out with a cheap EYU.CO wheel is that despite being cheap it has 200mm long split pedals. After taking an instant dislike to the short 170mm long pedals on the MCM I checked a few measurements and decided to swap. Here's the before.
Gimlet Posted April 25, 2015 Author Posted April 25, 2015 The EYU is going to a friend who has two young teenage boys, one of whom is severely autistic but has amazing balance. It'll be interesting to see how he gets on with the wheel.
Shady Tools Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 I'm Autistic but am high functioning. If he's interested in it then he will be a genius at it. It's not a disability, it's evolution :-)
Gimlet Posted April 25, 2015 Author Posted April 25, 2015 He is really severe. Non communicative except for well rehearsed phrases and greatings but great at drawing in a weird way in that he will start at one side of a picture and finish it as he progresses to the other side. He also bites when he is upset.
yes8s Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 It's not a disability, it's evolution :-) Interesting way to put it
prentis Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 I have an Airwheel x8 and I really want to put longer pedals on it. Does anyone know of a supplier who makes larger compatible pedals?
Gimlet Posted April 30, 2015 Author Posted April 30, 2015 It's very difficult at the moment to get odd parts but judging from my experience the central cut out and hinge fitting seem to be the same on most of the standard generic wheels. If you can find a cheap one that's failed and the pedals are longer they should fit.
