KS 16S pedal to motor mount buckling inward

Hi all,

Lately I experienced some slight grinding/squeaking noise when taking hard turns on my KS 16S (2y/o, 5000+km, still first tire)

I inspected the tire pressure (which was ok), pedals were sturdily connected to the main frame but when I turned the unicycle upside down I found that both pedals had cracks in the piece connecting them to the motor shaft.

I haven't been doing much offroading with it (max 100km), mostly street use.

How is this fixable / still safe to drive with ?

Thanks!

It's a bit hard to tell from your photos...

Are the cracks in the plastic pieces either side of the pedal hanger?

Could you take another photo on more of an angle (sideways)?

it think it might be the metal holding the frame, since the motor and pedal assembly is  one solid aluminum block...

That looks really odd... on my 16S, the pedal hangers are "L" shaped. The pieces either side are plastic - a part of the inner shell.

If that is what these are then it isn't an issue at all... perhaps if you could scrape off the diet to confirm that we are talking about the same part?

Hi all, to all who is concerned, I got the problem fixed.

Cause was not the dents on the previous images, those are indeed as The Fat Unicyclist says plastic (probalby got damaged due to small stones).

Cause was one of these 2 screws clamping the axle loosening up. I opened up the wheel and tightened them, as the pastic housing is mounted on those 2 aluminium blocks with 12 screws, the whole thing buckled inward and started scraping.

Thanks for the help!
