Manalla
Hello, I purchased a new Begode MCM5 V2 on 05/15/21. I have completed 745 km so far. Everything was going perfectly well until a week ago when, during ignition, I noticed that the front light, the LEDs, the USB socket and especially the fan were not working, even at high temperatures. All of these failures happened at the same time. On the other hand, the gyroscopic system still works. It seems too dangerous to me to continue using it without a fan. I would be grateful if you could indicate to me a possible diagnosis or if anyone has experienced the same mishap.
EMA
the DC-DC converter of your board is gone, on an mcm5 this means that you should replace the board. you can ride it anyway
Manalla
Thanks for your advise. I think you are very right about the DC_DC Converter.
thendless
HI Manalla, The same thing happened to me. New motherboard appears to be the only fix unfortunately . I used my multimeter to check the output of the 5V and 12V connections and confirmed this. I have used it for about 200km since it has happened and the only thing to be cautious about is the temperatures of your board, it does run hotter but still within an acceptable range under 60C. I purchased mine in May and my motherboard is the non black with a revision date of 2021 03 23. Curious what the date is on your motherboard?
