Brian H
Posting here in case anyone else has this problem or if anyone has seen this before. Just had my new(around 500 miles) MSP dump me and now it's unresponsive but still spinning. I was on flat pavement and was slowly accelerating through a 4 way stop. Kill switch does nothing, power button does nothing(tried holding for over 10sec and pressing 5 times in a row). EUC world doesn't connect but speakers still play from my phone. Tried tipping it over at every angle, still spinning at a constant rate. I had to hold it in my lap spinning in a friend's car to get it home. Going to try disconnecting the battery next. I'll post updates here.
Brian H
Disconnected the battery so it would stop spinning. Reconnected it and it now seems to be functional again but I don't trust that it won't happen again. Thankfully I got it from a local dealer with great service who will be looking into it tomorrow. agronick
Sounds like a bug in the software. Which is bad. Software for these things should have the same quality control as software on airplanes. At least airplanes have redundancy.
Night Cowboy
This sounds like a pretty terrifying failure. I hope they replace your msp. Avoiding those kinds of failures should be the number one priority for all wheel makers.
EMA
pretty weird from a rock solid machine, also after 500 miles, but sometimes shit happens. get a new board and you are done
