Hans wang
Hello guys, I just got my gotway mcm5 (second wheel) and I am noticing a slight "bump" every rotation of the wheel when I'm riding on a smooth surface. I did have this on my last wheel as well, but that was used so I just thought it was from the last owner. On the last wheel I could see it very slightly if I remember correct, but I can't see it on this one, but I need to check closer. If it is something, should I try to return the wheel and get a replacement? Semi-local dealer. Thanks for the help!
.....
You need to try and determine if its the tire or the rim. Sadly, the quality control on BOTH, leaves much to be desired. Have you tried the simple and cheap things to see if it helps, before involving a dealer and the painful process of shipping things back and forth?

alcatraz
Maybe the tire isn't centered or there's a kink in the inner tube. Try deflate, massage, inflate a tiny bit, massage, center, and so on. Then bring up to pressure. Ideally a tire and inner tube should be installed with plenty of talcum powder so they don't stick together. It allows the inner tube to take its form. Hans wang
Yes, I did this a little bit yesterday, and now with the same tire pressure it's way less noticable, I think I will do it some more later today and see if I can make it go away completely.
