Is there a how-to for trimming bottom of MCM5?

Recently I caught the leading edge on a low curb that was was already angled for cars -- didn't crash but it was 1mm from a worse outcome.  The bottom MCM5 edge is just too low ... I saw a pic around here somewhere that someone cut off the leading and trailing edges.  Just pop it open and get crazy with the sawzall?  Or cut slowly with a dremel / rotary tool disc with it assembled?

I know it looks short, but this curb is more substantial in person than the pic seems to suggest on the right side of this entrance.  I was probably also coming in at an angle and slightly leaned.  [ie, head on it's probably fine on clearance.]
