    V8 handle stuck

Same thing happened to me as well very recently. @ziziks your method worked like a charm tools used (pls see pic): hex key, plastic pry tool, and pliers I was just resting my V8F against a corner wall like I have done routinely for... since I can remember having the wheel. Always trolley extended as I walk couple of feet to grab my shoes. Only this time it slowly tipped over the other way. Still looked cosmetically perfect... it was not a hard fall by any means, and yet the mechanism to lower it broke. Since I was heading out, I pushed it back to lock position only to find out later on that it was stuck just like @Herbas but mine was the right side. I just want to thank this forum and the people here for providing me with the solution. I ordered another trolley from Ewheels and changed it last night. It was done in minutes thanks to the tips provided here. p.s. I just wanted to mention, I know this is not significant to this discussion but, I ordered an Mten3 trolley together with my v8 trolley. I was surprised to see that there is also a release button on that Mten3 external trolley as well! there wasn't one on Marty's installation video I think. At least now I know how NOT to mess these up.LOL Thanks again to all of you. Cheers!
  2. Sorry, just read this. Wow, the battery cells really arrive like that? COOL! @zoomr I'm really not qualified to answer that inquiry my friend. I think you would have a better chance if you consult Mr @Marty Backe since he has a lot of knowledge with Gotway EUCs, heck have you seen his inventory? he's probably a Gotway shareholder by now. lol jk! But seriously he might have some answers for you. Or you could ask Mr@Jason McNeil, I bet he's very knowledgeable too about all these technical EUC stuff. Goodluck!
  3. Hello guys, found this thread interesting... so I asked that store you got these pictures from, a few questions about it. here are some info i got from them. hope this helps... for the curious... * the net weight of Tesla 1020wh is about 19.3kg(about 42 lbs), the net weight of Tesla 1480wh is about 21.5kg(about 47 lbs).[Tongue] as for the trolley... asked them for either picture or vid... they sent this link question for my fellow EUC riders here, has anyone ever bought from this store? they legit? I would still prefer to buy locally... but if local doesn't make certain EUC models available then I might explore other options.... not upgrading btw (love my V8f)... just adding. planning to add a tesla, an MSP, and a kingsong (16X or 16XS) this year. Have a good Sunday everyone!.. Happy EUCing, stay safe.

@NMorgadoHere's mine. Sorry I dont currently have a digital scale for you. But looks like my V8F is of a batch thats more or less weighs as advertised, around 32 lbs. There was an earlier batch. Jason emailed sometime Jan 9. Saying that they recieved a limited supply but this batch's weight was 2+ lbs more, coming in around 35 lbs and if didnt mind that he would ship it that same day. Not that I mind the 2+lbs additional weight. Its just that, that particular email for some reason went to my spam folder. I never got to read it till more than a week later... well worked out well in the end. I received mine Jan 27th.

@manu "slow" is relative my friend. And also keep in mind, with these things, crashing is part of the game. Its not a matter of "IF" but "When". Ride safe always, gear up (when you do). I worked physical rehabilitation for more than a decade, Ive seen enough injuries already to fully understand the consequences... for me and the ones that will burdened to take care of me....Thats for speed. Power on the other hand, I do advocate for higher power reserves. Its a safety measure. Always take in consideration your use case, terrain, rules and regs in your area, etc.

You guys are so cool. Thanks for the inputs, I'll take them into consideration. So far thank goodness. It has worked for me at my skill level. Lol. Embarrassingly, I reached a new high crusing speed today on both wheels... 21 km/h. Hahaha. Which only translates to 13mph. I guess I can officially fill up an application to be in Duf's No Skill Zombie Riders club. LMAO! At least I know now, m not a speedster. Going at that speed even made me feel I was going to pop an artery. I was having palpitations. Hahaha. But thanks again guys. Y'all opinions are valuable to a newbie like me. 👍

@manu You're welcome. You made a "wise" decision choosing the V8F. I'm pretty sure you've done your research before choosing this wheel...so from a newbie to a newbie I really have no qualifications to be preaching here... but for me it hits all the sweet spots... Price, quality, weight/portability, pedals, protective cover, form and looks... and did I mention price? yeah I did. lol. Truth be told, prior to purchasing my wheels. I thought long and hard. I had set aside budget for only 1 wheel, so it had to be good. After a lot of thinking considering my use case, I decided to use that budget for a Gotway Tesla. To me it was the best value "performance wheel", the V8 was my second choice as the most "value for your money" wheel... but luckily I'm no impulse buyer so I just waited and watched reviews... all of a sudden the V8F came out... an improved V8 with a speed now comparable to the KS16s minus the $300 premium and weight, the large pedals that I WOULD HAVE upgraded to anyways if I chose the v8, and the weight which was only 2 lbs heavier than the predecessor. So I found myself with around $500 left on my budget... then BAM! Jason announced he was going to sell lower priced versions of the MTen3... Now I know this is not the thread for this so I'm not going to say much. But my friend manu.... that little wheel is just so much fun! So just adding a few more dollars, now, I have my fav daily wheel (V8f - best in its class, to me) and a fun wheel (MTen3). Life is good. btw, when you get it... I advise learning it using "classic mode" first. When I switched it to "comfort mode", I understood then why evX Mickey said it feels really smooth like hang-gliding, and why speedy feet Ian said about the V10F, like a magic carpet (this attribute is also coz of the tire on the V10f of course among other things). But using comfort mode made me feel like it was too smooth...like sliding smooth/ice skating smooth or whatever, hopefully you get the picture. So I thought, while I'm still learning, I want to feel the ground better. If I turn I want to feel how hard I can turn it at my skill level, etc. Don't know if I'm making sense here... just giving you my 2 cents. Who knows, your experience could be the opposite of mine. Anyway, glad to know a fellow newbie rider. Cheers! I added some Cowles Red Trim 1/4, Cowles Black Trim 1/4 and Clear protection film on my pedals to help me during this learning curve... just an idea.

Hello there friend. My V8F arrived Jan 27. I preordered from ewheels on December 15th. I followed up before the chinese new year, coz I use to import from China way back and i know they have like a 2-3week vacay. Jason emailed back right away mentioned their team will confirm if their shipment did indeed depart before this grace period as he is also very aware of this. As always they have good customer service. I was impressed. I hope this gives you some insight at least to another possible scenario. Goodluck. I'm lovin the wheel btw...
  9. Only the valve core my friend, yes I did. I purchased a set of maybe 4 I think? with a remover. Slime brand as well. Cheap, like less than 2 dollars (1.98) at Walmart, the slime was around 8+ dollars, since Autozone was already closed at that time.
  10. Hello everyone, just wanted to give a little update on my little MTen3 325/84. Finally starting to get comfortable riding this EUC. I'm increasing my cruising speed little by little. That's when I notice some wobble the other day. Mind you, I'm new to this hobby but I remembered one of Duf's vids where he adjusted the PSI on his 16x. So I tried lowering the PSI a bit, from a 30 to somewhere 25-ish but I seem to find the ride worse than before, so I just got it back up to 30 and that's when I noticed that my core valve was hissing... it was leaking. Tried adjusting the valve but was no good. Then just figured, what the hell, might as well change it and just add slime while I'm at it. Naturally, I watched Mr @Marty Backe's vid again on how. I deflated my tire... and this stuff came out (see pic) someone please tell me that is some type of sealant ... anyway, long story short, went to Walmart late evening, bought slime and set of valves, applied slime, changed the valve... riding happily ever after... well... tbh, my V8F arrived last Monday so I'm kinda busy learning that one right now. But I'm loving this Mten more and more everyday for its overall package... I practice few minutes everyday with it. It really is my "fun" wheel. Thanks again @Marty Backe and all you veteran riders for providing a lot of valuable content. Cheers!
  11. Good day, Just gonna write what's on my Mten3 325Wh/84V tire for anyone curious... Seyoun NJK 10x3.00-6.5 (70/65-6.5) SY-E008-15 2 PLY RATING TUBELESS MAX LOAD 70kg (155 lbs) AT 210kPa (30Psi) COLD Hope this helps. I'm no tire expert, my MTen3 is still a few days old... so any technical stuff and info I rely on the experts on these forums. Thank you guys.
  12. Hello everyone, good day to you all. Couple of days in, still practicing... sore but having a blast. Anyhow, I'm kinda in the same situation with @WildHuman having to travel from building to building. I work in Healthcare and currently need to be doing quality and compliance rounds so I visit quite a few clinics and departments often, so I totally understand the feeling. Short trips so I don't need the range. The power, to me in this case is like insurance. Better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it (safety reasons). As to what he mentioned though... just upgrade the battery later, is it really that simple? @Jason McNeil do you sell those components? though I could probably search thru Mr @Marty Backe channel on how to do so. I've already learned a lot from watching these pros. Thank you bytheway @Marty Backe, most of my safety gear are per your recommendation (saw your vid and the weblink). I worked in physical rehabilitation (for a decade) prior to transferring to compliance, so I've seen quite a few injuries in my career. Have fun everyone, and stay safe!
  13. Greetings everyone, newbie here. Just got my Mten 325Wh/84V about 7 hours ago... Added some air, installed the gateway app, finished baby-proofing it too . Quick question please, could someone tell me what that small button by the handle is for? Thanks in advance
