Gotway - Motor Wire Disconnect Issue - Revisited

Recommended Posts

Some questions please:

1. Approximately what percentage of units sold had this problem?

2. Any store in North America providing fix service?

3. Is this motor wire disconnect related to high speed? I ride mine at about 21km/hr max, so I guess there will be less heat generated to disconnect that wire from the motor?

4 .Is there a video out there showing how to disassemble the gotway msuper3 1600wh , then showing the most simple fix to this problem? ( what are the possible most easy solutions? (glue paste? re-solder? tied wire? replace connect head?)

Thanks,

ONEwheel

Are you referring to one of the 3 motor wires that disconnected at the splice?  I have heard of the wires melting but not disconnecting.  Do you have any photos depicting the disconnect?

Yes the melting wire problem.

That problem appears to be solved with upgraded connectors. More updates to come.
