I found mounting to be a regular challenge when learning.
There are still times after nearly 400 miles on an EUC when I am more comfortable grabbing any nearby sign, pole, or railing for balance.
Be cautious, always wear your gear, and be ready to fall off.

FYI - dude was last time online in 2015 year. :D

I feel like I have progressed enough to practice in the drive or at work at low speeds with minimal or no gear. However, I still need gear every time I go out due to my immature EUC skills at this point. Yesterday, we did a 6-mile trail, and in the final 15 minutes of the ride, my pedal hit a stump, and down I went.
Without my gear, I may be in rough shape today.

I wonder if he figured out mounting or quit the EUC?
Some folks abandon EUCs when they cannot immediately get the hang of it, or so I have heard.

I only wear wrist guards on my daily commutes to work.. (Non busy sidewalk ride at slower speed.) Fun rides when i go 40kph i wear helmet. Aside of winter slides, i don't fall.

Maybe he simply rides and didn't see the need to keep posting.
