Finn Bjerke Posted March 2 Share Posted March 2 This is the hole in the motor cover, there is a black rough area as you can probably see. that area Is prob not rust: However when the motor took in water I had to open in order to upgrade bearings Here is motor cap swimming in vinegar. I try to get corrosions marks removed by bathing in vinegar (tops 20 hours) Is it possible to get another cover plate from somewhere? I dont like what I see. Finn Bjerke Posted March 2 Author Share Posted March 2 (edited) I just realised the black stuff forming a half circle here comes off with Acetone (So does my nail polish) Maybe i have had bearings misaligned a wee bit because of this dirt ?
