brucey
Can't decide, looking to buy Bell Air R and the sizing is somewhat vague being: S 52–56 cm, M 55–59 cm. Me being 55-56cm I fall in both small and Medium ranges. Any advice from anyone who had something similar? I have Triple 8 helmet which is 55-58cm and that one fits quite well, so I'm leaning more into the Medium size, but yea any pointers would be appreciated! Cerbera
I would err on the side of too small, as pads compress over time. My Scorpion ADX2 was tight enough to give me headaches when I first got it, but after a month the pads have receded to the point where even wearing a thin lycra balaclava under mine doesn't fully stop minor vertical rotation of the helmet around my head - not enough to expose anything, but certainly enough to notice ! superox
Generally, if the helmet in general fits your head shape, then opt for a smaller size if unsure. It's okay if it's too snug at the beginning, as long as it's not one particular spot pressing hard on your forehead, top of the head, temples etc. The padding will become looser over time.
