Popular Post Murdomeek Posted May 11, 2023 Popular Post Posted May 11, 2023 (edited) Here is my diy spiked pedal project. Hope you enjoy The stock veteran sherman pedals are pretty good, but the griptape wore out over time and I wanted some bigger pedals. The stock pedal plate on the sherman is plastic, so I cannot directly stud it or else it'll crack. I traced the shape of begode hex pedals and made them 1.5cm longer at the front as personal preference. I cut them out of 1/8" stainless steel and installed hex griptape. Next, I tapped M3 holes and installed the studs. I also spray painted the back side black for aesthetics Final result: It rides great , very comfortable, and is grippy even in the rain Edited May 12, 2023 by Murdomeek 4 1 Quote
on one Posted May 27, 2023 Posted May 27, 2023 Those pedals are amazing! How did you cut the steel? Where did you get the steel? How did you affix your plates? Did you notice a command authority difference? How much did they cost? Quote
Murdomeek Posted June 5, 2023 Author Posted June 5, 2023 Thanks! I have a laser cutter at work that luckily my boss allows us to use for personal projects. They are affixed by the same 5 screws that hold the stock plastic pedal plates that comes with the sherman. I can accelerate much easier with these pedals as they are longer at the front. If you get this done at a local metal shop, it'd cost $30-$50 depending on if they have the right thickness steel cutoffs. I can send you the .dxf file if you want pm me if you'd like it Quote
