If someone's on the fence about adding comms, there's a couple additional features that various intercoms have, that people might be interested in - Voice commands for the intercom Pass-thru voice commands to the phone (Siri, Alexa, Google, Etc.) Gesture commands for the intercom (If you've read the HitchHiker's Guide, you'll know.) -> CRASH detection. Several types will detect a wipe and, if you don't stop it, will start making phone calls / text messages to a contact list. Some allow you to bridge your music onto the intercom channel. Some allow you to bridge an active phone call onto the intercom channel. -> Some allow you to bridge your GPS nav onto the intercom channel. Comms are fantastic for any type of trail riding with a buddy. Probably good for street treks as well. It's so much easier for the lead to call things out, or for the tail to tell the group that a race bike is behind them wanting to pass, or for someone to call out a mechanical issue that they're falling behind with.
