WattsWheelhouse
Does anyone here ride with a rear radar? I'm very new to EUCs, but as an avid cyclist in a rural area (country roads with little to no shoulder) I won't ride without it. If anyone uses one, where do you mount it? Maybe just toss it in a back pocket?
Tawpie
I don't ride with rear radar, just a mirror, ears wide open, lots of blinking lights and hi viz. If the garmin vibrates, maybe strap it to your biceps for tactile notification. Since you're not head down grinding away, it's much easier to make routine checks of the rear—some riders just turn around and look.
WattsWheelhouse
Oh I ride with earbuds typically, but the radar chimes in my ears when there are vehicles behind, and a different chime plays when it's all clear again. And on my cycling computer, an indicator shows how many vehicles (or other riders) and how far they are. It's really nice to never be startled by a car. Yeah, I'm all for being visible as well. Lights up high seem better than down low to me. Maybe backpack or helmet mounted?
