Citi Wheel
http://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2015/dec/10/hoverboards-dangerous-or-easy-fun-and-way-way-easier-than-skateboards So even though this is a hoverboard, I think the stigma is going to start spilling over into other Electric vehicles. I ordered the new Airwheel Electric Stakeboard, and UPS refused to ship the package and returned it to Airwheel because it had a Lithium Ion battery. The Li battery in it is only 162.8 wh, which is below the limit for airtravel.
lizardmech
How do they keep catching fire? Despite the claims of no BMS, damaged cells etc. I haven't seen any photos showing that. So I get the impression shrink wrapped 18650 cells aren't a viable long term solution for these products.
