GeorgeV Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 Hi, I just bought a Gotway Tesla v2 and i think it has a problem. From the first start, it has an intermittent noise, I think it's from the fans. The noise is quite loud, but the most annoying thing is that it is heard intermittently, 1 second is turned on, then stops and then after 1 second it starts again. And he does that all the time. Video link on youtube: Tesla V2 Problem Fan I sent this video to those from whom I bought it (myewheel), they say it's normal for this model, which has a new motherboard. I don't think it's normal, what do you think? They say they also asked the Gotway engineers about my problem and it's normal. This is their answear: It's actually because the V2 comes with a new control board with larger heat sink and dual-cooling fans to scatter unwanted heat from motor driver MOSFETs. The fans are always working just like in the MSP. Quote
kelec_947 Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 @GeorgeVSame noise of mine ? https://drive.google.com/file/d/1KxBdHWuR6Lmd1POGnCcMUf7dNhhQi9gI/view?usp=drivesdk I got an answer This intermittent fan noise is completely normal. In any case, all the Gotway wheels with the last motherboard have this noise (I got confirmation from a dealer who tested them). Why do the fans react like that ? >> In fact, they work in relation to the motherboard. There is a temperature sensor that adjusts the speed to the temperature. This is to limit the inertia of the motherboard: when it rises in Temperature, even after the fan is triggered, the motherboard continues to rise in Temperature for a certain time, and since the motherboard can rise in Temperature very quickly, this early triggering limits the phenomenon. When the motherboard reaches a certain temperature (while driving), the fan will turn on full power. Quote
