Popular Post agronick
Soon after I got my wheel the pedals got scratched. I was thinking about painting them. I found out that Plastidip peels off so I thought it was a much better option. It would protect the pedal and if I mess it up I could just peel it off. Heres how I did it. Go to Lowes or any home improvement store and buy plastidip and the largest size wooden dowel that will fit in the holes the pedal rods go in. Its a long wooden stick found in the lumber section. At Lowes it was less than a $1. This allows you to hang the pedals and paint the front and back at the same time without getting paint in the holes. You'll also need masking tape. Take the pedals off the wheel and wash them. Wait for them to dry and then mask the grip tape with the masking tape. You can then stick the dowel through both pedals and hang them from a cardboard box. I used the box the wheel came in. Then you keep applying coats until you are happy with the result. The pedals look a lot better. It has sort of a rubbery texture. It is not hard like the paint was. I'm happy with the result.
