Bob Eisenman
I was out at 4 am yesterday with my camera/lens choice set wide at 18 mm, ISO 1600, f4.5 for 30 seconds. The image which was taken starts off looking sort of washed out from the exposing to the right (ETTR) technique. https://youtu.be/J1Kfr8RG3zM After some semi structured corrections and few 'try this slider' attempts I got some traces of the Milky Way (Galactic Center in view (L-side) at this time and sky choice, according to Photo Pills) despite the moon being in the sky at the same time. South is around the rightmost tree branch. Stacking a bunch of captures and taking bias, flat and dark frames would probably improve the result. Finding a darker site to photograph would be an even better idea. My location has high light polution plus the moon (in tree) was out.
