Tim Widmer
Last week, had a sweet day riding with some friends in PDX. This was the first day I actually rode with others in a group ride setting on my new Tesla V2 bought from ewheels 8 days before. Put about 15 miles on the wheel, then charged up to 100 percent. Went for another 25 miles, pushing it hard. It had some a strange feeling when taking off, like it was slipping/clunking. I felt like I was overpowering it.. I took it for one final ride and ended up get a sever cutout at 15-17 mph. Guessing since my phone was dead, and I was pretty clueless on voltage. It felt like it tilted, then cut out and put me on my shoulder. Luckily it is sore, but not broken.. Anyway I contacted Jason at ewheels, he sent me out a replacement mother board. I had to switch out the xt60 to xt 90 and purchase some soldering supplies.. but was on a mission to get back on the tesla. I spent most the day swapping out, melted one xt90 while soldering, had to drive an hour to get replacements. Anyway I swapped it out and everything worked. So relieved I don't have to send it back. I felt like I was bringing my board back to life. Anyway, just a shout out that I am back on the road.
