Kristofior
Hi, I am wondering if it would be a good idea to buy a 2018 Z10 (week 33) as I have heard that there may be the following issues : - components melting down - battery drain Is there an official communication from Segway-Ninebot about these issues beeing all solved in 2019 Z10 production batches ? Should I blacklist 2018 Z10 wheels or can 2018 Z10 have these issues solved by replacing some parts ? (of course I know that price will be cheaper for a 2018 used one....but cheap price with issues or current prices without issues....that is the question) Regards, Kristo. I just bought a new 2019 Z10. I read about all the issues with the earlier ones and there's no way that I would consider getting one of those. Mine has a July 2019 build date from what I can tell. Hsiang
I have been told by official sources from ninebot that all the issues we had talked about; motor wiring and control board melt down, and ghost drain had all been addressed in z10 produced after April 2019. I can't confirm this since I don't have a new z10, and have heard of one instance where a 2019 z10 was still suffering from the ghost drain. But unless you find a really good deal on a 2018 z10, its prob safer to get a new one.
