Birds that do fly-bys-what's up with that?

Recommended Posts

Often times when I'm out on my wheel birds, usually sparrows to fly-bys like 2 feet above my head. Do they think I'm really just a big bird? A couple of times I have attracted the attention of Condors though they circled my from like 300 feet up. Anybody else experienced birds behaving strangely while you are riding?

Your location is wrong, you're in Australia.

On a serious note though, no strange reactions from birds in Central Europe. Although... some birds are so used to bicycles, they don't fly off even if you're 20cm away from them. But the same is true for cars - they just assume you don't hug the curb and will miss them.

In Monterey, CA there used to be a certain flock of seagulls that would attack me whenever the saw me. I was terrified whenever I would go for a walk on the promenade.
