MTEN4 frame brace

Recommended Posts

Funny you mention that, as I was pondering something like that when i was removing pieces on my A2.  I was thinking fiberglass fabric + epoxy, as the composite will have different characteristics than the metal.  I would not use metal, but a couple of layers of glass fabric w/ carefully brushed epoxy.  Anyone out there ever build fiberglass sub enclosures in a car?  Same idea, but I would suggest epoxy rather than polyester resin.

The A2 frame has a couple of stiffening ribs added, but it's a marginal sort of application.  They really need some engineers who understand structural mechanics (and suspension dynamics).
