Popular Post MrEUCMan
I recently upgraded from an V10F to a V11, thought I share some of my thoughts here for those that may be thinking about an V11. Customer Service: First I like to start with customer service? Why? Because my journey in getting my V11 wasn't an easy one (Read about it here.) InMotion stuck with me every step of the way. Their engineers helped me with voltmeter calibration, their service reps sent a new wheel to me without charge, they really took care of me. I also want to say that I bought my V10, V11, and L9 from them directly as well, all of these products had the same great build quality and service that I come to expect from InMotion. Truly a top-notch company. Ride: I have ridden other suspension EUCs. Here's my impression of the V11. Is it a great off roader? No, but it's good. But, if you are on streets and commuting with your EUC, the V11 is king. The suspension is silky smooth once dialed in. There are bumps and tree roots on my way to work that I used to have to slow down, now I am hitting them at full speed (25 to 30 mph). Advise here: I am 200lb (with all equipment accounted for), I have my tires at 33psi, suspension bottom at 120psi, top at 40psi.) Coming from the V10F, I can't be happier with the V11. Build Quality: As expected with any InMotion product, even though my Sherman Max is an incredible powerful wheel that will put the V11 to shame in most comparisons, the build quality of my V11 trumps it. The V11 feels like a quality product that came out of the Apple assembly line. There are smooth corners, well finished edges, and everything about it just screams quality. Range: With my equipment, I am 200 lbs. My daily commute is typically ~400 feet of elevation changes and about 20 miles one way, 40 miles both ways. My batter after each way is typically at around 60%. I am sure that the batteries do not discharge linearly (or do they?), I am not sure if I can do both ways with a single charge. Maybe one of these days I'll try it. The bottom line here is that it gets to close to 40 miles per charge, which is excellent!! Functions: There are no bluetooth speakers for music, ok, fine, that's a downside for some. Personally, I feel that if I want to listen to music, I'll use an ear bud in one of my ears instead. The quality of music is better that way anyways. Also, not having a BT speaker just saves battery, more for the wheel. The headlights are incredible, I find myself riding in the front of the pack most of the nights because of it. Love the DRLs too, reminds me of an old BMW I had a while ago. The app functions are very thorough and well designed, allowing you to truly customize the wheel to your own liking. I just want to be clear. InMotion didn't give me anything except for great service. My V10 was my first wheel, I really really REALLY f-ed it up. It's scratched, dented, scraped, and cracked. However, it's still working, it just keeps on going. No issues at all. Hope the above helps some of you in choosing your next wheel and enjoy your rides! 6
