Foo Barstein
My S18's light sensor cap has rolled off for good. I'm worried about water getting through the open hole over the circuitry. Any ideas on sourcing a replacement part in the US? Edited July 24, 2022 by Foo Barstein
Fahrtwind
Sure it rolled out? I am pretty sure, there is a notch/collar which prevents the cap from falling out. I guess it was pressed in. Maybe you can find it inbetween the motherboard and top cover. I think the cap is not sold seperatly...if you don´t want to change the whole top cover, I would glue a piece of acrylic glass inside the top cover... 1
Fahrtwind
Sorry I was wrong (had a look at the wheel yesterday). The collar is from the outside - so no chance the cap was pressed in...
Foo Barstein
@Fahrtwind- yeah, the cap has popped out from the top before. I'm going to raid my kids' Lego collection first before cutting my own acrylic - there must be something that fits. On a related note, if I completely cover the light sensor with my hand, the headlamp does not turn on, yet it does turn on when riding into a dark place... is there a second light sensor somewhere?
