Installed new motor backwards?

An old tungsten bulb, e.g. 100W / 120-240V connected in series with the battery, will protect the motherboard against burning the transistors.  Remove the bulb when you are sure that the motor is connected correctly.  

There are many descriptions of wrong connection situations leading to frying mosfets on the forum
