PSA: Do NOT use threadlocker near plastic unless stated safe on package

THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!

It has been determined time and time again, that certain thread locking compounds and anaerobic sealants, will cause some plastics to basically disentegrate. The most common type of thread locker used is of loc-tite brand or similar. Unless it is speciaifcally designed for plastics and says so on the bottle, I would suggest NOT using these types of chemicals near your wheel. Simple RTV (sensor safe) or chemicals designed for use near plastics is required. Again, basic thread locker has a tendency to creep into micro cracks in the plastic (side effect of the process) and expand. Brand new shells and tabs can fall to pieces overnight. As the chemical can wick itself, I would suggest NOT using unapproved chemicals ANYWHERE near the wheel. Also be mindful of any chemicals that are not sensor safe. The last thing we need is circuits being compromised by chemical fumes.

You have been warned!!!
