Finest Chineaseum

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Two days ago I took apart my Nicola+ to change the tire. I split the case, even though unnecessary, since I was "already in there". I noticed that on the case side that houses all the electronics, all screws that attach boards, buzzers and speakers, poke through the body and extend about 2mm into the wheel well. Small sharp spikes, next to rotating rubber....

Is this standard issue? Or did I get one where the shift ran out of short screws?

It's not causing any issues per se, but it irks me to a degree where I'd be willing to remove everything fill the holes and screw the boards, speakers, buzzers onto a wood/plastics substrate which I would then glue back in the original locations.

Also, while little splashes here and there are probably fine, dont submerge the Nikola, the case is not watertight. Water can get in via the handle hole.

Just saying....
