deflated tractioninterface Posted June 4, 2020 Share Posted June 4, 2020 (edited) Dropper seats are hydraulically or cable controlled seat posts with 2 or more positions, made for mountain bikers so they can keep the advantages of a high seat for in the saddle pedaling and low seat for jumps and turns. I'm a little surprised to not see any discussion of these or an equivalent on here. Maybe they're being called something else. Anyway, 2 position seat that with decent height fully extended seems like it would be more comfortable for the knees, possibly more comfortable while seated and then you can drop the seat in less time than you stand up, returning maneuverability and not blocking your legs too much while standing. Stock seats on these things are really low even on the big wheels. Not ergonomically optimized for people with longer legs. Obviously a little creativity would be involved but it seems like the result could be worthwhile.
