  1. That is not available for public consumption. I received firmware by physically replacing the MCU.
  2. I'm selling my Minipro 320 with Swallowbot, so if anyone is in the Sacramento, CA area (specifically Roseville), I put it up for sale here.
  3. No worries! Thanks for offering it for a short time and letting a few of us risk-takers take advantage of the chip! It's much better now without all the beeping and tiltback when going past its speed limit.
  4. Californian here. I ordered the chip from them on eBay for $35. Took off the old chip, plopped on the new chip and away the minipro goes!
  5. You forgot the time the developer spent writing and testing an app to make it easier for people to update their Minipro. What's that worth? IMHO, that time is worth a lot more than the cost to buy a couple of one-dollar MCUs, program them in a programmer, and ship them out to someone. And don't forget the high risk of the $35 chip: Removing the warranty seals, finding someone skilled enough to unsolder and solder in the new chip without breaking anything and crossing your fingers that everything will be ok when you put it all back together again. You won't find someone to do that for $15 unless perhaps a friend can do it for you. $50 for an app to update your Minipro is cheap compared to the $35 chip option. I know you were hoping, but seriously?
  6. Pulled out the old MCU and installed another one with a fine-tip soldering iron, but a good ol' microscope is required for those pins! Hot-air soldering not needed. I've only spent a little bit of time on it so far, but it is noticeably faster and the dangerous tilt-back in the original firmware no longer occurs. I just have to get use to the new scary speed! Thanks MRN76!
