No more rainbow lights! :I

would it be possible to replace the led strips in my gotway tesla

with only red ones but they would have the same function, showing battery, spinning light,

so what i need is red led strips that could be compatible, and when the mainboard gives power to the strip not only some parts of the red strip light up because the board only sends power to the red ones and since the strip is only red...

so i need a red led strip that could replace the rainbow led strip and work the same way just only red

 this possible ?

im eager to remove this "christmas theme lighting" but still have the spinning effect just in one color only

Don't think there are any real solutions to this problem since the colours are controlled by motherboard/controller.

Not sure if some kind of color tint of filter would help?

hmm that does sound like a good idea though...

I'm glad i have a whole closet filled with light filters for use with theatre lighting..

i will try that! :roflmao:

i think it's the closest i can get

it wouldn't make them all red but certainly if done correctly maybe tint them enough to be hard to notice they're not red

I saw a YouTube video yesterday of someone riding a Tesla at night and the lights were going between rainbow and all red scene to scene... check 4:48. I never use my LEDs so not sure what causes it to change.

it changes to red when it brakes

it has some weird behavior. because when you drive fast and you then slow drive and keep driving at the slower speed the red brake light will still be on and then go away after some time but if you keep decelerating very slowly it can stay on for a while

Ahh I always press the on button three times, so I think mine just does the rear brake lights when slowing down and the constant rainbow fade on the top LEDs. Does look a bit weird pulsating away when you’re casually sat with it in a restaurant waiting to pick up take out food and people have no idea what it is.

Did you get your mosfet fixed?

At 6:02 the camera goes back to the right side and the rainbow lights are on still.  I think the light strip on the left side is defective.  It stays red and does not rotate, plus near the top of the wheel it looks like one or two leds are not working.

Good spot - that's an idea, since the LEDs are RGB, maybe you can cut the wire/pcb trace on the GB cath/anodes so the LEDs will only light when power is sent to the R(ed) channel.
