Inmotion v5f+ sounds stopped working

I have a fairly new v5f+ with around 80 miles on it, and today it stopped making all sounds, except for when I start it up. Nothing else seems to be different. Any ideas?

You should post this in the Inmotion section, you would get more response from people who have Inmotion wheels.

Also you could contact the seller and ask what the problem could be.   Where did you get the wheel from?

What sounds did it make before?  What sound does it make now at startup, a beep?

I don't remember at the moment reading about a similar problem with any other wheel, only reading about new sounds happening.

If the wheel still rides normally, probably no need to worry about it.

Thanks! I’m new to the forum still navigating it. I think I’ll take your advice, it seems to be riding just fine.

Having sold close to 300x of these Wheels, we've got quite a bit of experience with the V5F.

For this particular sound problem, it has usually been down to two possibilities: 1) sound package on the board is corrupt & just needs to pushed to the Wheel from the App, 2) the board needs replacing.

Is the wheel still safe to ride or should I just order a new board ? Thanks!

It is very easy to just pull and replace. Take a couple of pics first, so you know where everything goes. Hardest part is just getting started. There are a lot of screws. Not sure if you have to replace it just to hear "be careful" when you drop it, but if you need it for speed warnings you may want to. I find the lean back is fine for me. I have no idea if the sound works or not, but I think I disabled it in the app. It rides just fine so far, and its been silent for half a year.

That makes me feel more at ease. the tilt back is manageable , unlike my ninebot. In time I probably will replace the board just for peace of mind.
