who_the
Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017 OK so this is one of our favorite rides, from Pacifica down through Half Moon Bay! We're splitting it into two segments for maximum accessibility to all levels of riders and battery sizes. The first segment begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Starbucks in the Linda Mar Shopping Center in Pacifica. From there we will ride up and over Pedro Mountain via the old Pedro Mountain Road, the original road (now a trail) that connects Pacifica with Half Moon Bay. This first segment should be considered an off-road trail segment with some fairly technical portions. It is entirely rideable by EUC but with some rough patches that might force you to dismount, depending on your capabilities. This first segment will roll and up and over the hill, through Montara, on past the Moss Beach Distillery before stopping for lunch at the Half Moon Bay Brewing Company for lunch (thinking around 11 - 11:30 a.m.) The second segment will begin around 12:30 p.m. at the parking lot to the Pillar Point Harbor. From there we will ride south along Half Moon Bay down to the Ritz-Carlton, and then return. This second segment of the ride is about 15 miles round trip and is entirely along paved or tightly packed trails. Suitable for less-experienced wheelers or smaller batteries. Those making the long ride on anything less than a 1600wh battery, be sure to bring your chargers. We were allowed to charge at the Brewing Company last time and hope to be able to do so again this time.
meepmeepmayer
Wish I could do this. Such a beautiful route. How do you get back to the start in the land of barely any public transportation? Also, what's the date? Or is this known among your group (in case you forgot to add it)?

Thanks, left the line with the date out! We're riding this Sunday. And it's a round-tripper, we'll head back up more or less the same way.
