Hi, I'm from NYC and I am looking to purchase my first unicycle! Thus far it seems that a Ninebot E+ seems like a good choice that can ride for a long distance.would love to know your experience about it)  Does anyone know a authorized dealer that is US base? Are any of these legit sellers? Thanks in advance! ride on!

PS does it do well over bumps?

I think your best bet is to get one from ebay in the US and ask for expedited shipping.

Yes it handles bumps just fine, I ride mine around in a lumpy, grassy field all the time and up/down shallow curbs and over horribly cracked sidwalks.   I wouldn't want to try to hop up a 90 degree angle bump that was higher than maybe and inch to inch and a half.

both are legit and if u are interested in continued support and personal attention, I recommend you go with hoodriderz. He organizes weekly EU rides with his customers and other eu owners

thanks a lot! if you had a budget  of $1000 what EU would you buy? can be any brand and why.

Vido,

this question is like asking which car to buy within a certain budget. You will get a variety of answers based upon individual preference and needs. My two cents on the matter:

since you're in NYC, you'll want a 14-16 in wheel for maximum maneuverability. Smaller wheels are more nimble but do not absorb bumps well while larger wheels excel in this dept but are less nimble, harder to make sharp turns and harder to move/crawl at slow speeds.

Next, are you looking for a comfortable ride or would u sacrifice comfort for speed? As I'm told, NineBot ones are like BMW's, well made and comfortable ride. Gotways and Kingsongs are the fastest. Then between the two, price and weight comes into factor. Gotways are slightly lighter than Kingsongs but have the BMS cutoff safety issue; if you push the max speed too long, it may shut off on you and send you flying (literally it'll stop but you'll be at the same speed and be thrown forward). Kingsongs do not have this issue and also have a front and back led but u get the added weight of approx 1-2 lb of weight.

Finally, any of the 3 choices are fine ones. Just tailor to your needs. I'm only familiar with those 3 brands at that size so I can't speak of others.

Hope that helps - and that it was as unbiased as possible. One thing that's great about this forum is the honesty of the users

If you stroll through the Ninebot section of these forums you will find most of your questions already answered. :)

But I prefer to ride my bot with 50psi since my "keg on legs" is close to 100kg. That nets me about 27km per full charge on average. YMMV obviously since terrain, driver and riding style differs from person to person.

Once you get the bot, dont get frustrated, the learning curve is steep in the beginning but rewarding in the end. There are a lot of tips what to do and what not to do to learn as fast and painless as possible.
