This is one of those typical things that people do/implement because "they think it should be like that", aka "you make an error, so an error sound must play", without thinking it through. I don't think anyone has ever had a wheel drop on its side without them realising it.

Yep, the "Gotway dance" spinning certainly can't be missed. One possibility (like I mentioned in the bad post) is that it's some kind of standard feature of their hardware, so they just use it because it's there and everyone else does.

Marty, it seems like you are running the little guy a little faster than before.  I was beginning to do the same before I had that unfortunate encounter with the pothole.  I might have to start wearing a little more armor after I get mine operational again.

I am riding it faster here, thus I"m wearing all of my protective gear. If the road/path conditions are good this is a fun wheel to book along on

Yes, it's killing me!  I love that we can get these incredible cutting-edge products from China, but it hurts my heart that American enterprise hasn't stepped up and we have to wait for weeks every time we need parts.

Cool log. That's a big journey for a little wheel. 

Do you own any other larger wheels? If so, how was the ride compared to them. There is much debate about the mental concentration required to ride a 10" wheel over long distances. Was it harder work? would you do it again?

Thank you. I use the wheel mainly as a recovery when landing away from the car with paragliding (we call this ROLL & FLY) as well as for fun. Over 20 kmh requires a lot of concentration, better driving less than 20 kmh. Of course I will do it again.

Hove not bigger wheels because is a problem to fit them in my harness (for flying).

As a newcomer to this thread ( I.e. I just now read it) I too was momentarily taken aback by @meepmeepmayer response to @Psices  question about lying down beeps ( a very good question btw.)

but then I got it and genuinely laughed out loud.  Very clever.  My wheel tells me that ALL THE FREAKIN TIME. Even funnier in my head,  as @meepmeepmayer is German and every German man Speaking English sounds like Arnold Schwarzenegger, in my head.

So, "hey, Asshole  Stop doing that" as Arnie is even funnier.  Infact, if we could upload speach files to our wheels, I'd Have that as my, completely unnecessary, " you've dropped me on my side again" message.

@Psices. If this forum was an actual place, I'd be here 24/7. Generally the nicest, most helpful bunch of guys on tinternt.  I mean where else will someone make a custom video just for you? Way ta go @Marty Backe. Even though he MADE me buy a Pebble watch. ?

i especially like the "too fast " message. If I'm not mistaken, that was Arnie himself wasn't it!  I'm visualising all the Gotway riders who have been thrown down the road when they blew through to top speed limit.  Imagine hearing that, just as you get launched into ultra low earth orbit ! ??  not to say that other brands aren't suitable lunch vehicles ?

You need to be able to post something and people like @meepmeepmayer call bullshit on you (he has to me, several times, thank you kindly) without even the slightest trace of emotion, 'cause it's just feelings compared to the rock-hard physicality of hitting the pavement.

And those goes for the rest of you; I'd expect any man here to call me an asshole when I am being an asshole (which I probably am being on this post, yes yes I know).

To spell it out, because this really seems to be more ambiguous than I ever thought it could be:

• "Hey asshole, stop doing this!" is supposed to be what the 'angry' wheel 'says' via beeps to the rider who just dropped it and made it scratch itself up/spin in the dirt.
• That is all. No other meaning.
• This [apparently ambiguous] joke was also supposed to convey, since this is the first non-answer to the question that came to my mind, there really is no good answer - no good, sound reason for these beeps.
  [New idea: maybe you could argue, the beeps warn the rider that the gyro stopped balancing, so the rider won't try to step on and subsequently fall]
• This in no way was ever seriously meant as a complaint about the rider (any possible rider) being an asshole. Nobody is being called bullshit upon or whatever. Nothing like this. You drop the wheel, the wheel complains whinily.

Also I certainly don't agree with @LanghamP's above comment, and did never interpret @Psices reply in that way. It was clear he just thought I insulted him, and the reply makes sense then.

If that was supposed to be a joke, then I'm not getting it. If not, maybe @LanghamP has another one of his days, best ignore him then

That seems consistent with mine. I've gotten ~29km at 15% battery and my riding weight is ~70kg.

That is a very cool use for the wheel. It actually seems perfect. Have other paraglider pilots seen you like this, and has it made them want to learn how to ride an EUC?

At present, only one friend does roll & fly but all my flying buddies have shown interest. 
Some of them have also tried my wheel.

My V8 also allows this.
