dmethvin
This is a bit of a drive but it might be fun. Years ago, there was a stretch of the Pennsylvania Turnpike with really narrow tunnels and as a result it couldn't be used for larger trucks. To solve the problem they cut new tunnels and closed off the old ones. It's not quite a formal park but lots of people go there to explore as you'll see in the Google Maps comments. Here's some more background: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abandoned_Pennsylvania_Turnpike The area is about 2.5 hours from Baltimore and Washington DC. It's just north of the Breezewood area next to a Turnpike stop, which has plenty of places to eat and charge. If you go to the end and back it would be about 25 miles of riding. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Abandoned+Pennsylvania+Turnpikefirstname.lastname@example.org,-78.2296781,532m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m20!1m12!4m11!1m6!1m2!1s0x89b7df21b127409b:0xfe5a0cde58a48bca!2s11807+Far+Edge+Path,+Columbia,+MD+21044!2m2!1d-76.8970204!2d39.2009878!1m3!2m2!1d-78.2432955!2d39.9933344!3m6!1s0x0:0xae3d000eb36626ac!8m2!3d39.9999706!4d-78.2280334!9m1!1b1
