^tom^
Theoretical I know how it should go, but this is it! There are peoble they drive with the EU even straight upright with only one foot. On youtube I can not find any instruction videos for this. They say that you have to learn it to get on the EU but not how you have to do it...hmmm Damm it hurt my inner leg when I try this and maybe this is why I can not get there? Gimlet
That's where shin pads worn on the inside of your shin help a lot! You'll still probably have to wait for any existing bruising to ease a little but once the pain's gone just try scooting it along without attempting to put your second foot in place. ^tom^
That's where shin pads .......... just try scooting it along without attempting to put your second foot in place. scooting.....this is exactly what I dream from! You are probably right, just let pass some time until my already existing pain is gone. Shine pads....sounds good and I will check this point. Thank so far
John Eucist
Even I can't do one foot well. When I try to do it, I feel a tremendous force going outwards where I'm standing so it appears grip tape on the pedals will help. Foam pads (like yoga mats) on the sides panel (especially on the top edge) helps lessen the pressure pain on the inner calves. I know it's easier to do circles when one legged. For example if you are standing with your right leg only then do circles going left while tilting the whole unit to the left.

Uff, so I'm not the only have those problem with the inner part of our legs. Maybe the other ones all have bones made from steel. I also thinking that how bigger the wheel is, how easier it is to do it. So i have the 12 inch wheel and not 16 inch like most of them. My 14 inch left HK this afternoon.....will arrive soon so i can test this out
martin
I learned starting on one foot. My inner shin hurt the first few days and I wore my knee pads on the inside of my shin for a couple of days. It doesn't hurt any more with the padding sent with my IPS but it is a 16" wheel. Shorter wheels will more painful. I start by balancing on one foot when stationary. I "scooter" the wheel along as though it is a skateboard with my foot close to the wheel and my shin in the middle of the pad. I practice switching from one foot to the other while moving so that I can stop on either foot and put the other on the ground for stability. I also practice going round in circles and going in a straight line on each foot. I think that ankle strength probably needs to be built up and I feel more pressure in my knee when going on one foot so I'm a bit cautious and am progressing slowly. 10 days experience so listen more to the pros
Sam Clegg
Riding one footed depend on a lot of the wheel.. that is it say it depend on lot on the padding you have between the leg and the wheel. SW is pretty easy to ride one footed without any pain (at least not initially). GW14 hurt me a lot more. GW10 doesn't have pads to speak of so really need to mod the wheel to ride one footed at all.
