codersarepeople
I love the V5F+'s handle, but today I was pretty dumb. I was practicing some tricks, which meant it would fall over a fair amount, but at pretty slow speeds. I was practicing on a wood floor, but it was still too much. Not only did the plastic clamp that holds the handle down break off, but two of the four screws which hold the handle to the EUC broke off inside their sockets. I'm a bit disappointed at the build quality of the plastic part of the handle and the cheapness of the screws, but more annoyed at myself for forgetting to remove the handle. If you are learning tricks, even at low speeds and on soft-ish surfaces, remove your handle first!
vladmarks
Fair point. The thing about kinder easter egg-like shells is that they're bound to deform on impact, which may lead to snapping. Screws wise, might not be the best design in the end. I was thinking of a clamp-held design for this type of handle, which could both address deformation and hold the handlepiece together a bit better.
