Hi,

As the title says, a quick tutorial on how to use your jailbroken iPhone as a bicycle bell, horn or any other sound you like.

You can use a standard iphone alarm sounds a ringtone converter or make them manually ... its like this:

search for an appropriate mp3 - edit in your favorite audio editor/converter - cut - amplify - save as bell.mp3
import into iTunes - rightclick the mp3 - create acc version - rightclick the newly created file - view in Finder/Explorer - rename file to bell.m4r (on a Windows System select view - show extentions in explorer)
in itunes go to the ringtones section - file - add to library - choose your bell.m4r file - sync (with ringtone sync enabled ofc)

if you need it in more detail pls use google :) there are hundreds of guides, apps, converter and the like.

setup on your jailbroken iPhone:

many tweaks automatically install Activator but if you dont see it in your settings go to cydia and install it for free. Its great for other things too (e.g. start music playback if you plug in your headphones (the upcoming iOS9 "Feature"), reasign buttons and gestures)

if you already used Activator you may backup you triggers first, just in case.

here some examples.

Example 1) easiest - just shake to play the bellsound. it even rings when your girlfriend throw it after you, probably :-)

-> settings
-> Activator
-> choose Anywhere (Lockscreen/Homescreen & when an App is open) or just "in Application" (so it only works when an(y) app is open (Ninedroid, Runkeeper, ...))
-> Shake Device or tripple finger tap (whatever you like as a trigger)
-> Ringtones - bell

Example 2) with a profile. this way it rings only if you first activate the right profile. e.g. a fast mute/unmute activates the wheel profile, shake for the bell, after you finished your ride, just mute/unmute again to switch back to default profile  - which disables it.

-> Activator
-> Profiles
-> Add New Profile - wheel
-> activate the wheel Profile (watch the checkmark)

-> Anywhere
-> Shake Device
-> Ringtones - bell

you could also set Volume to 100% if you normaly have if lower.

-> Anywhere
-> Toggle Music Switch Twice (or any other method you prefer)
-> Profiles - default

in Profiles select the default profile then
-> Anywhere
-> Toggle Music Switch Twice
-> Profiles - wheel

To see which Profile is activated during testing enabled in Activator->Action Banner -> Always. This way you get a notification when the profile changes.

Example 3) for Wheels with Bluetooth. This ATM does NOT work for me on iOS 8.3 JB, but it may be just my phone ... it worked on 8.1 and maybe on 8.4 which i cant test. probably the Tweak gets updated, try it out its a free Tweak for Activator. it lets you check specific Wifi/BT Devices or Apps e.g. if you start NineDroid App or leave your home wifi.

in Cydia install the Tweak ActIf

in settings -> ActIf put the exact BT Name of you e.g. Ninebot in the Bluetooth Device field. or alternative use the App/Apps names you want it to work with

same as Example 2) except you use the bluetooth device condition instead of the mute switch to change profiles.

-> Activator
-> Profiles
-> Add New Profile - wheel
-> activate the wheel Profile

-> Anywhere
-> Shake Device
-> Ringtones - bell

-> Anywhere
-> Bluetooth device condition failed
-> Profiles - default

in Profiles select the default profile then
-> Anywhere
-> Bluetooth device condition passed
-> Profiles - wheel

only works if you are connected to your wheel.

have fun and for jailbreak questions pls go to reddit-jailbreak ;)
