cm16600
Hi, i just ordered a second hand KS16 black mat. I beleive as it is my first wheel it's going to be beat up untill i can ride it peoperly. Do you have any feedback on how resistant the plastics are ? Does anyone knows if the color of the mat model is just on the surface reavealing white scratches? Of course i ordered some foam to protect it but i guess damages will be unavoidable. Thanks for any inputs.
HermanTheGerman
No, it's black plastics. At the beginning I recommend to connect it to your hip with some stretchable safety belt (it's a lot better than to hold the belt in one hand). Then it cannot run away when you jump off. But when you start driving faster than 10 to 15 km/h I would remove the belt again. I did it this way, and mine doesn't look bad (there are some scratches on the pedals, but not on the body). cm16600
Thank you Herman for your tips with the belt. This is good news that the plastics are not painted, it won't show scratches the same way.
