DISCLAIMER: this is what I did.  nothing went bang and I didn't get shocked. your results may vary. Proceed with caution and at your own risk, both physically and financially.

--------------

Some of you may recall my beeper stopped working about 2 weeks ago. Since then I've had a few "offs" that were COMPLETELY not my fault (OK. Maybe a little bit my fault) anyway, replacement beeper arrived yesterday and it's been stormy all afternoon so I couldn't put off opening this thing any longer.

EDIT. THIS PROCEDURE CAN BE USED TO REMOVE ONE SIDE FOR TIRE ACCESS, OR REPEATED ON THE OTHER SIDE TO GAIN COMPLETE ACCESS TO CONTROL BOARD AND BATTERIES.

kitchen knife used to pry back pad, not to turn screws.

Re watched Russian taking one apart on YouTube and thought there must be a better way than completely ripping off the rubber pads, and besides, they didn't send me any double sided tape to reattach the pads and I wasn't about to blow 6€ on a roll just to get 30cm. So this is what I did:

1. Identify where the screws were holding the battery compartments closed, by watching this video.

2. Identify which compartment housed the beeper ( switch and power gauge side)

3. Pry up the pad over each of the 8 screws, just enough to get a screwdriver in (#2 Philips)

4. Remove each screw one by one

5. Lift off cover and remove switch connector from board.

6. Unscrew single screw holding beeper in place

7. Unclip beeper plug from board (same as switch plug but different locations)

8. Reverse procedure, making sure black gasket is seated in the recess provided ( see last picture, how it is not in the recess).  Personally I'm going to tape the outside top edge ot the cover, as I don't trust it to be watertight, and the control board is right under it.

8a or continue to remove panel for wheel access

8b or repeat on other side for battery and board access

total time 20 minutes

Is that a kitchen knife?  ^_^  Best way to put up images is not to upload them directly to the forum, but go to an off site image hosting site like:

https://imgsafe.org/

or

https://postimage.org/

or which ever one you Google, uploaded your photo, then copy the direct link to the photo, and come back here to post it up.  Here's an example of @Rehab1's wife who graciously posed for a photo for me while my heater was strangely and uncontrollably going full blast for some odd reason  :whistling: making the room 32C inside.  :innocent1:  Geez that woman can sweat up storm!  But it's a good sweat!  :dribble:

Drone Alert!! You must have placed some itty bitty undetectable quad copter in my house allowing you to capture these shots! Glad you missed the moments leading up to this sweaty shot.:P

What camera filters did you use? I'll take a dozen:clap3:
