^tom^ Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 Does anybody know this list and maybe have the complet list? http://static.parastorage.com/media/ec51cb_604b74b207104191be79438bc5d59222.png_256
John Eucist Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 There are well over a hundred brands in China. Many of them do not even have English names. But the main current ones I've already listed in the "solowheel vs rockwheel" thread.
John Eucist Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 Go to www.taobao.com then copy and paste the following in the search box 电动独轮车 then keep scrolling and going to the "next page" to gather the hundreds of brands
^tom^ Posted January 5, 2015 Author Posted January 5, 2015 There are well over a hundred brands in China. Many of them do not even have English names. But the main current ones I've already listed in the "solowheel vs rockwheel" thread. That's nice, thank you for edit all your lists! I know there are a lot of them. More technical backgrounds whould be intressting (main brand products). The data sheets they comes with the wheels not worth a lot and do not say what is important (for me). (what kind of beeb for what and when, how long I have time to break or jump off etc.) And not only many brand names not in english, also there homepage is not in english (Rockwheel, GotWay). So how can I controll if this guy at www.gotway.fr write he is an official GotWay dealer, if there homepage in China is not in english too. Then the problem gets even more worse: How do I know where I can order and get what I think to get? Next problem is SoloWheel: They make all crazy about a Patent, so even Aliexpress act and scratched some electric unicycle from stores there. I am not so sure is SoloWheel made_up it really, because the technic is nothing new, exept you stay not between well;s you stay outside of wheels. This is maybe they do not have international patents...only USA what I know....because it has to be new for a patent here. Maybe sell the Wheels without pedals as flying saucer will be ok..haha doit your self projekt to screw the pedals on and drive. And a patent does not say anything until a court decided! It is far away from the right of a name to protect. Sorry some maybe off topic some not. It's hard to see the line here. This is why I like a list with technical datas and homepage from the manufactur and maybe shops to order it online with international shipping.
Luc Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 Hi, I recently made a specs comparison chart of the various electric unicycles (eWheels) plus some two wheeled foot scooters. Feel free to take a look: http://peacemakerfoundation.com/2015/01/03/self-balancing-electric-wheels-foot-scooters/ Also includes links to videos and some ideas about what we should actually call these things. Have fun. Luc The Peacemaker Foundation Campaigns & Projects to Promote Health & Wellbeing Peacemakerfoundation.com
Sam Clegg Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Hi Luc, Do you think we could/should turn that into a wikipedia page? I know it would get a lot of edits because the specs are contention but I think it would be cool to have a community maintained list.

John Eucist Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 http://electricunicycle.wikia.com That's been sitting there for a while in case you want to use it.
Planetpapi Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Thank you, Luc, for posting a list. That is helpful.

I'm fairly busy with other stuff these days but if you or others would like to put it onto Wikipedia I'm OK with that. Someone could also try to extend it to include more brands.
Luc Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Hi, Just amended this list slightly. No data changes in the table itself - just some rewording and stuff. Recently realized that my suggestion of the term PPT (meaning portable personal transport) was not so great seeing as the acronym PPT is already in use taken to mean 'Personal Public Transportation). Doh! Anyway so here it is again: a specs comparison chart of the various electric unicycles (eWheels) plus some two wheeled foot scooters. Luc Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 Hi,Also recently made a comparison table of two-wheeled self-balancing foot scooters in case anyone's interested. Solowheel is in there for comparison. http://peacemakerfoundation.com/2015/07/25/self-balancing-dual-motor-electric-foot-scooters/ You may also be interested in how the Solowheel compares with other small lightweight forms of transport:http://peacemakerfoundation.com/2015/07/06/transportables-portable-transport-tools/ Luc
