Not sure I could lift that up any decent set of stairs without dying slightly at the top. nomad
It says 2400W battery on that page.. They mean 2400Wh like in the spec sheet. I wish that was for the motor, really that's like the minimum needed to get decent torque for 22" it's OK but nothing special. Unfortunately the spec says only 1600W... My wild guess is that the motor is the same as those used for 18 inch, only the rim is larger. If that is the case, the torque of the 22 inch motor will be smaller than 18 inch. However, if the pedals are the same as V3(it seems to be that way), then there is no way to apply the might-be-larger torque. Consequently, the accelerate ability, the brake ability and the climb ability are all inferior than 18 inch(82%=18/22). PS. the rated power is the max. continuous output power at rated speed and at rated voltage, above which the motor will be overheated.

There is no way they're going to sell a 22 inch wheel with the same motor... If that is what they're planning they'll be out of business I hope they have developed a new motor for a wheel that weighs 63 pounds and is 4 inches bigger than the wheel for which it was intended i hope someone from "the home office" will comment for us

nomad
Even though I love EUC riding I have to say in this case those minibikes are definitely more tempting! I mean look at that cute Z125 Pro, a tiny 100kg machine with 6000W power, 300km range on a 7.5 liter tank and 100 km/h top speed. Grom has a smaller 5.5 liter tank but it would be very hard to choose between them and I'd gladly pick either one over the Monster, just saying! I hope GW don't use too much of their limited resources on this wheel, it's gonna be a hard sell... https://youtu.be/s2a5mxg99V0 https://youtu.be/b8B25JyFIbc

When you put it like that it puts the price of these units into prospective. I still father fly around town on my 1640wh all day long;)

Also the portability of an EU is better than a bike (although we'll have to wait and see if this is still true for the monster).

nomad
A bike does not replace an EUC. And an EUC does not replace a bike.
Hunka Hunka Burning Love
It is like comparing apples to oranges, but it was more for pricing comparison and to see how many components there are on a motorcycle as compared to an EUC for the money being paid. The battery packs on a EUC comprise a large percentage of the cost, but considering the pricepoint of this MSuper Monster I wonder what other choices people will be considering once they pass the $3000 mark. Maybe an electric bike? This one is $2400 and goes 28 MPH but can only go for 25-35 miles. http://www.theelectricbicyclestore.com/prodecotech-electric-bicycle-outlaw-ss-750w-48v-12ah-28mph-orange/ The Stealth Bomber B-52 is $10,600! It looks like the range on EUC's are much better for the money, but not as good as a gas powered motorcycle. It seems to be creeping up there though! It should be interesting to see who will be getting an MSuper Monster on the forums here. @EUC Extreme, is it on your Christmas wish list?
EUC Extreme
Some kind of bicycle is also under consideration. But I still do not know what kind. Fatbike .. or something else ..
