whatever you think is best

we appreciate you helping us with this place

i was excited to see GotWay info in general and not just that about the Msuper v3.... but, maybe the facebook page isn't the best for that, either

Surely not: Gotway has an official web site...

You'll find no real structured Infos on the web site and also not in the Facebook site of Linnea Lin or Jane Mo. Sometimes they throw some pieces of information in and you need to sort it out.

This companies are doing the job as good as possible. This is not the way we used to get information over here.

of course, but on occasion companies update their facebook page more often than their official website

i'm NOT sure if GotWay is one such corporation

You guys do realize that not every country is the US, and China still operates its "free" economy with the remnants of communist governmental practices, right? ie. Facebook is censored / blocked in China, and these companies have to VPN to bypass and update such media, hence the sporadic updates & responses. Who knows how far this extends... plus the language barrier for updating an English language version of their main site for what is, essentially, a mom & pop size operation....

Sure thing.

Also, for anyone who has spoke with Jane or Linnea, you can obviously tell these aren't native English speakers, plus the fact that Gotway was crowdsourcing on facebook for translating different menus and sections of their app.

Just because Gotway is the premier performance EUC company doesn't put their company size or development and marketing resources (money + money to pay employees) in the ball park of a giant like Segway Ninebot. If you keep this in mind, the crappy app, deficiencies in QC control, and consistent misinformation / lack of coordinated, clear product launches all start to make way more sense.

Unfortunately for GW that also detracts their customers as they don't want to risk parting with quite high amount of their money for "unspecified" and poor manufactured and even worse supported products. Just reading the threads in GW and General section here in forums shows all the troubles and complains current GW customers needs to suffer through and which could have been in waste majority avoided with a little bit more effort from GW side by improving the customer support (both pre as well as post sale).

All that makes sense to me just makes you wonder why ninebot/segway isn't doing anything to improve their position in the electronic unicycle arena.  the S2 is not "all that," or anything close. If that company were to come out with something like the version 3 of the Msuper... We'd all be happy about that.

Of course there may be no infrastructure even in its infancy to deal with after-the-sale issues. They act as if they believe what they are selling us costs 10 times less than actual. That is the most unusual thing about it to me. These items are very, very expensive And we are to believe that very few of them have problems. However, at least people who are on this forum have not gotten any kind of satisfaction when there is an issue. Is it possible to believe that everyone in Asia who has an issue get it taken care of because of the infrastructure available in the dealer network? We will probably never know because those people are not part of this for because why would they be? I really wish I knew what the company was much better thought of it is homeland than it is here. Surely they must be considered some of the most expensive electronic unicycles sold even in China and people must demand better from them than the units costing a quarter as much... Of course I am probably wrong

Not so sure.

This hobby is addicting, and so is the need for more speed and range.

Judging by the constant chatter on the forums, despite no change in Gotway customer service and quality, many will probably end up buying said wheels anyway, especially as there is no alternative purchase in its category (many leave out the KS-18 due its height / size). But to be fair, this v3 MSuper IS a step up from the v2, not just in performance, but mainly with the added tiltback (which kept a number of people away).

Remember that Gotway sold a lot of MSuper2's, and the quality of build on that unit, for anyone who has opened it up, is sub-par at best (still a breakthrough wheel in the EUC evolution with its performance though).

The EUC market is a mere splinter compared to the boom that was "hoverboards" / self balancing scooters. Case in point: everybody knows the "hoverboard" from news, their kids, etc., but relatively few people know what the EUC's we ride are called (ie. they definitely haven't bought one, let alone seen one usually). Heck, Inventist's Shane Chen invented said "hoverboards", or his Hovertrax rather, because the Solowheel adoption was poor due to the steep learning curve.

If you add things up, I believe the new "Segway Ninebot" is chasing the money, trying to resurrect the now defunct "hoverboard" market craze.

Point #1: There's been a blitz marketing campaign for the Ninebot Mini Pro on a string of tech blog articles (see here, here, and here to name a few), initiated by the company by sending out free test units.

Point #2: Segway Ninebot has gone through pains to publicize their new UL certification (after all the hoverboard battery fire bad press) for their Mini Pros and have been shying away from the Ninebot moniker in favor of the Segway brand name that many are more familiar with, ie. the "Ninebot by Segway" branding.

Point #3: I'm sure main investor XiaoMi (valued at 20 Billion USD) wants a return on its investment for bankrolling Ninebot, especially in Ninebot's acquisition of Segway last year. That's really hard to do by focusing on catering to a niche EUC market, not to mention an even more niche, performance 18" (read: heavy) wheel market.

Point #4: Even with the S2, the focus was to grab more customers, ie. new customers (which is the measure of growth / profit for a company, not the same sales numbers to existing users, year over year), by shrinking the wheel in both size and weight. Chinese marketing campaigns focused on showing women riding and carrying the wheel.
