Guest
So here is a very important question. when your ninebot comes with no adapter for canada can you jsut use a regular computer cord to plug into the box ? guess I should be more specific 10A 250V adn the plug I have that would fit but one would hesitate to power on would be the 10A 125V
Tilmann
With my NB1 E (Jan 2015), any ordinary computer power cord will do. The power adapter has 120W / 61V, model XVE-6100190.
John Eucist
Ninebots use computer cord plugs? That would mean an integrated power supply.

John Eucist
??? I'm not understanding is this a yes or a no ? It's not an answer. It's a question about your question.
Tilmann
I assume, popcorn is referring to the power cable connecting the (universal) power adapter to the (country specific) wall outlet.
Guest
yes the plug comes off the ninebot to a power box from the box is a three prong (computer power cord in Canada) but it comes with a european plug it looks like so aer they interchangable is my question
John Eucist
OIC. Yeah then for sure (since the plug is a standard) as long as the power supply supports Canadian voltage which 99.9% chance I would guess it does.

John Eucist
Should be fine as the "computer plug" is a standard. Especially with @Tilmann's confirmation.INPUT : 100~240VAC/50~60Hz 1.5ASource: http://www.ninebotus.com/ninebot-130w-63v-charger/

John Eucist
Thanks so much, second question does anyone have the instructions page for the E+ in english ? I found this but it's not "E+" and it's a "Quick Start". Not sure if it's what you want but posting it anyway just in case.http://e-ride.ch/en/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/Ninebot-One-Quick-Start-Manual-EN.pdf

Thus, I believe it's safe to use your PC cord (I would). Yet, I'm not a qualified electrical engineer - so: sorry, no guarantees here, mate
Guest
do you have the power on or off when you plug it in to charge?? does it matter??
John Eucist
do you have the power on or off when you plug it in to charge?? does it matter?? It's normal to keep power off when charging unless there's a good reason to keep it on.

Tilmann
Hi @popcorn - please be prepared for a rather sudden end to your experiment. The great folks at speedyfeet UK tried that with the NB1 E model:
mengke
So here is a very important question. when your ninebot comes with no adapter for canada can you jsut use a regular computer cord to plug into the box ? guess I should be more specific 10A 250V adn the plug I have that would fit but one would hesitate to power on would be the 10A 125VI guess if I told you it can be done then it can be done, because if not I will take care of it. The half cord itself has nothing to do with amps or voltage. It is just for different shape of the socket and that is all.
