Flash
Hi HEC The fan is 150 mA 12v and I deleted the gps tracker so it's only the fan now , the converter use 3,5 mA idling , I Think it's a spike when I turn the fan on but I have no oscilloscope to se it with , I will measure how much power the converter takes with fan later tonight 6 minutes ago, HEC said: How much current have you been pulling out of this converter at 12V? They are not really designed for giving more than 500 mA in long run so if you had you GPS connected to it as well it might have been a bit too much. How much is the fan itself taking? Tested today , there is a spike when I switch on the converter with fan , betweeen 0.9 - 1 Ampere , after fan reached full speed it uses 475 mA , if I stop the rotation then it uses 800 mA , still this is good values compared to an analog transistor converter and there is no heat

Yes i got it back and tested it for a little more than a week now. Thats what it looks like: There are vent holes facing in only one Direction, so in sunny days i`m driving with the vents facing fowards to get some air in and when it should rain then the vents facing backwards. But it is definitly not totaly waterproof!! i noticed that on one vent side there is a active fan which starts at 50 Degrees mainboard temperature automaticly. I was told that there has also been added a new version of the motherboard with improoved technical components and thicker cables running to the motor from 1,5mm² rised to 2,5mm² in the past i had some major problems with these motor cables which were getting too hot and melted into the housing and battery hood: but with the new setup everything is just fine! WheelHead
@2Highjumper According to the director of KS the new motors for the KS-18 will have motor cut out at 70km/hr. Because you have the latest motor now, I would like to know if they are shipping out this new motor at this time. Could you do a lift cutout test with your new motor to check cutout speed? @Henrik Olsen also posted his new KS-18 with the new CB and fan vents. He also may have the new motor. Maybe he will check his wheel too. Thanks. http://forum.electricunicycle.org/topic/5460-today-scheduled-to-meet-with-the-director-of-king-song-live-stream/?do=findComment&comment=64465
