New to ninebot e+ (my 2nd wheel)...

Few months back I started to look for a wheel and really wanted Ninebot E+  buy it was reg. price around 750. cheapest I could find, so up on recommendation at that time from this forum I purchased GotWay mcm v3, amazing little unit, very powerful and fast. I'm 5.9" 165 lbs./ 75kg. I've been using this unit to go to work about 7km., to school about 2km. and for fun, but ultimately wanted alternative transportation.

Recently www.forwardca.com had very good sale for Special Edition, I just had to grab one and with little convincing my sister got one  as well. I had excellent experience with company with my ?s, A+ to www.forwardca.com

Little comparison: GW seems build more solid, when on/ off sidewalks, over bumps,  E+ plastic rattles a little. Speed...... I really got used to GW as I was almost constantly getting 28-30 km/h. I'll be honest, hard to go to 20-22 km/h, it might not seem like much till you can ride beside someone who's passing you. Going from 14' to 16' WOW...... unbelievable, the ride is so, so smooth, it is amazing. The motor on E+ is extremely quiet :), in comparison to GW mcm v3. Battery 320 vs 340 (mileage almost same)., Pedals, E+ for sure, large and very comfortable. Charing, GW 90 min from almost zero,  not sure why it takes E+ to charge this long., and lastly Looks..... not even a comparison E+ is one very attractive wheel :)

If I missed something, I'll add later and of course  this is my opinion after couple of months owning GW and almost a week E+.

Last point, if you looking as fun only and speed not important to you, for the money Im not sure there is anything that can beat E+, for me first and for most is transportation and speed make a big difference. End of 2016, early 2017 I hope to get MSuper (i think it looks awesome and is very fast), till than, E+ for me :) and GW mcm for my son.

That's a good looking wrap, and the pads are black instead of grey, looks nice.

This is a Special Edition NineBot One E+.  That's not a wrap, it's printed directly into the plastic, and those pads come with the black vinyl stock.  If I remember correctly, only 200 Special Edition made it into the US total.  There are three different designs.  Carbon Fiber, Flames, and Blue Leaves.

I just checked, and it appears ForwardCA sold out of the Special Editions.  Good work ForwardCA!!!  It was an AWESOME Sale Price!

That's a sick looking carbon fibre limited edition wheel.  So shiny!  Nice pick.  Rattling could be coming from the battery pack moving about.  Secure it with padding and see if it's better.

thanks, I've read a little, I'll try over these weekend, hopefully thats what it is, but never the less, this machine for the $ is amazing :)

  Carbon is nice, but flames iz da best.  Don't forget that cuz Elvis said so.  It's like riding a modern art piece on a rolling platform.  Now go make an arm brace for that twisted limb.

Pluuus it was a little cheaper which is always good.  I still can't believe the awesome pricing they had on these from Forward California.  And free US shipping.   Insane!

Probably that, or loose screws.  These wheels are SUPER solid when all the screws are tight.  Surprisingly so...  Also, maybe an LED harness flopping around.

Also, for the record, they have the White with White Pads (New Style) for $549!  That's an awesome price too. https://www.forwardca.com/products/model-e

Awesome NB1! Congrats! I vacillated between the Flame and Carbon last month @HunkaHunkaBurningLove twisted my arm to go for the Flame:angry:

If you prefer the Carbon, you can always cover it, which will help protect the flames.  That way, if you ever sell, it will be pristine underneath.  I covered mine for under $20.

You can heat it with a Hair Dryer to get around the edges.  It has a true Carbon Fiber texture to it.  Nice Material.  I bought it here (not avail anymore, but Amazon still has it elsewhere):  https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ZTHTLAY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I just cut it with scissors to get close, then trimmed it up with a razor knife when it was mostly stuck down.  Took about 2 hours start to finish.

I tore it down to this level to do the job.  It's actually easier to take apart than it looks.  I can now break down and back together in under 1/2 hour.  Takes 4 tools.  Two allens and a small flat and phillips driver.

Like I say, after doing it once, it's super easy.  I was also concerned till I tried it.  It's amazing how solid these are, especially after seeing all the pieces apart.  When together though, they lock up tight.

@SuperSport  Good god man, you should go into business wrapping wheels, or are you already in that business?:D

I used to own a sign shop for 16 years.  Same materials, so I have some experience.  My vinyl now has some small defects from traveling in my trunk, but it's easily touched up.

There are a number of guys that have never done this before, and their's came out as good as mine.  The trick is getting good material.  My friend did flat blue, and it looks awesome!

You're right, that also looks great.  How did he get the pedals and pads black like that?

He covered the pedals with vinyl and the pads are from his broken One P.  You can now buy those pads in black or white from NineBot.  I painted mine with Vinyl Paint to get them black.

Vinyl paint, that's what I was looking for. So the pedals are painted?

His pedals are vinyl wrap. His pads are stock One P pads that come in black.

My pads are stock E+ grey painted black.

@SuperSport Your wrap is excellent! Much less expensive than the $119 wraps they are selling. Thanks for the tear down advice. Figured that might be required to obtain a perfect job.
