Gotway ACM issue...

Anyone happen to know if there is a Gotway representative I could contact here and ask some general questions?

They had some people, barely speaking English, posting here very rarely, but they left. There's a tiny, tiiiiiiny chance someone from Gotway might help you via email/Whatsapp/Wechat.

But realistically, the seller is by far the best bet (and if Gotway were to reply, they would probably also say that). Who did you buy from?

Some time after learning once feeling secure on the EUC it was such a nice feeling, felt secure and stable, now I just think back realizing it is not just me and my own potential mess up that can put me down but also the electronics inside the wheel must work flawlessly or else..? I do not want to stand on this thing being worried about a shut down all the time so trust in it is very important.

Yea, that's how it is, EUCs are single-failure=doom devices. Like planes or spaceships, nothing may go wrong or else, big trouble. Good you learnt this.

It is indeed important to get this fixed properly, otherwise this lack of trust will ruin your riding enjoyment. But the good news is, once the wheel is working properly, unless you stress it extremely (steep hills for long with no breaks), it's going to be very robust and predictably safe.

So either get this repaired in a 100% good way, or also consider returning it if you don't have that 100% guarantee.

Thanks meepmeepmayer ,yeah you are of course right I get that now.  Cannot reach their Kebye so that's why asking?

Yeah in contact with seller but had a a few days off email conversation, been working and in pain when coming home so..

His name is Michael and in Germany, will get back with more info soon must try to sleep now cause damage become worse and have to go xray with potential crack. Must dig up info but have some shop in Germany + Ebay here: https://www.ebay.com/usr/strongjennie?ul_noapp=true

I don't know yet what is the best sellers etc and know so little about the wheel but they where nice to deal with imho though, but I realize more research must be done and sellers are different, please get me right not knock down anyone at all or hailing anyone just stating I get the importance of it now. Realized digging though Ebay conversation trying to find info just now that first contact I spoke to referred to it as 2016 Q4 and that the had very few troubles with these? Again no angle just stating facts and not sure about importance importance of this atm, cannot even think straight need a pill and in bed.

Will respond to seller again tomorrow just cannot atm I need sleep and not feeling ok cause must work and not making dam,age any better. Every image/video I shown but referred to as fully normal/ok so must send to Germany for check up but he said if they find anything I will be reimbursed, I am sure something must be found just worried had a esd damaged motherboard once (but those do hurt me haha) nobody could find any problem with and never fixed on warranty and had to pay for all check up etc so make me worried hearing these thing in general, especially here I have hard time accepting the quality of soldering but what to say or do but if no problem I cannot argue against it, kind of? In the end of the day I don't want to stand with my pants down, but problems seem so hard to replicate?

"Sprained" wrist was really tough to heal so finally I took an xray and met a specialist today, tun out left Scaphoid bone was pretty much broken off halfway and this sucks, 3 month with stiff arm now then operation so yeah hard learned lesson indeed. Truly hope other new riders learn from others mistakes too cause this will cost in so many ways incl the economical one

Sorry to hear that.  If you haven't already, get yourself some wrist guards.

To everyone:

I feel a bit like my dad, repeating the same advice over and over again.  Wrists always take a beating in a sudden fall, know that and protect them.  Sore and broken wrists ruin every aspect of your life, even sleep.:(

Ouch!!!:cry2:

Operation after 3 months? How does this make sense? Shouldn't one happen now, if at all?

Well, I guess the doctors know why. Hope this gives you no more problems than you already have with it.

Yeah sucks and agreed about the advice thing, sometimes a lesson come cheap but not always but if it can help just some (or at lest 1) not to repeat my mistake, at very least that would be nice. WRIST GUARDS, check! :)

Yeah I feel the same, if avoidable they will but since break was almost complete and in the middle and not just a very small crack the bone started to heal in a bit wrong position, not much so could be ok but must wait and see, I fixated the hand myself believing it was a sprain and could avoid with some luck more people will look at the images and discuss the case tomorrow so more info to follow so? Apparently it is the if not one of the most hard bones to heal cause blood flow to it is very limited.

Yes will invest in serious wrist guards at whatever the cost, for sure.

I am a fool too, 1 week off work then back. Don't want to let my team down either and felt hard but doable somehow apart from hard to do angles with the hand, pull and push with straight hand was ok after all so hard to imagine it was broken and as a result I worked (steelworker, constructions so quite heavy at times) with it for a couple weeks like this, stupid foolish decision please do not repeat ever my friends!

I should know better at my age.

It's human nature to hope for the best, and not take the advise we might give to others, in the same situation; especially if it requires time off work, forms to fill out, waiting rooms, appointments, expense, etc.  This time last year my left wrist took a good smack after an EUC fall.  I was wearing wrist guards, but it still hurt.  I nursed it for a few days and it got better.  You nursed it for a few days but it didn't get better, and days became weeks.  Don't beat yourself up. As you say, maybe we can all learn from your situation.

Very good points and yeah prefer going to work than filling out forms etc.., yeah you are right and can only make the best out of the situation at this point.

Wrist guards , never without again, that urge to stretch out your hand when suddenly just falling is mega hard to resist just build into the system so to speak.
